Note how Windows Phone allows you to color scheme and completely coordinate the phone. This is why the tile images generally have transparency masks instead of fixed color backgrounds. It is at the discretion of the application author whether to use such masking, but a good app writer will adhere to platform recommended best practices. As such, you can re-scheme your phone in whatever color you like. I know this must be jarring coming from the free-for all of Android/iPhone app icon design. I prefer it. :)

HTC ( 2498) obviously wants to make a big splash with its Windows Phone 8 smartphones this fall, and the company is planning on launching three Windows Phone 8 devices: the entry-level Rio, the mid-range Accord and flagship Zenith. An XDA Developers user posted a render of the HTC Accord on his Twitter account Friday, and claimed that the device will be equipped with a 4.3-inch HD display with1280 x 720 pixel resolution, alongside a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, an 8-megapixel rear camera, NFC and a microSD slot. The device will also be available with either 8GB or 16GB of internal storage.

HTC is rumored to announce its latest Windows Phone 8 devices at an event scheduled for the third week of September.
