When you are in a high cost area with lots of debt and still high housing prices you need lots of income to sustain, pay down debt and build equity. In a way those like me are fortunate in the ground zero bust markets there are so many more opportunities via RE to acquire and build wealth this next up cycle. I am about where I was in 2005 a bit below 2007 but the opportunities now versus that time period are like night and day different which is the opposite of what the lamestream media and pundits would tell you.. Unfortunately, I am one of those back to the early 90s.
