Well, yes -- AFTER he decided to run for the presidency. For 15 or more years, his bio floated around claiming he was Kenyan born and he never "bothered" to correct it:



UNTIL, OF COURSE:



Hawaii has, mysteriously, NEVER made the original of his birth certificate available for public inspection for unbiased observers to determine whether it was done contemporaneously or not.
