>> I am not one who believes Obama was born in Africa....but I can see where the issues arises, compounded by Obama's failure to promptly address and resolve the issue in an open and transparent manner....and it has NOTHING to do with race. That "racism" nonsense is for dumbfukks. Keeping birtherism alive benefits Obama....its just another distraction from his record of broken promises, cronyism and failure.

I agree with you jla; I've never been a "birther".

But can you honestly say as an attorney, if you had to defend the Obama position in a court of law, that there isn't enough evidence to at least cause you concern? Even with the lower standard of a civil trial, can you REALLY say it is "more likely than not" Obama was born in the USA?

You've got his OWN bios for fifteen or more years stating he was "Kenyan born" over and over again, through repeated revisions. You've got Hawaii failing to produce a contemporaneous original of the birth certificate. You've got Obama mysteriously insisting on the change to the bio ONLY after he is running for the presidency after multiple revisions. There is the circumstantial argument that his parents would have been highly motivated to make is appear he was American born to provide him with the benefits of American citizenship.

There is precedent for it. Sun Yat-sen, the first president of the Republic of China, was born in China yet his birth certificate clearly states he was born in Hawaii. When did this procedure of overtly misstating the place of birth end?

I think a proper investigation would have to involve the process by which Hawaii transitioned its data from paper to electronic as well as why Obama's birth certificate is numbered higher (#10641) than the twins born AFTER Obama's August 4 DOB (they were numbered 10637 & 10638, respectively, both dated AFTER Obama's. There could easily be a logical explanation for it, but one would think important documents like this would be strictly serialized and these don't appear to have been.

So, the question is not as cut-and-dried as the media and the Left have suggested. That's not to say Obama was Kenyan born but you have to admit there is a hell of a lot of evidence that suggests it is at the very least a possibility.
