I largely agree with that assessment... as far as market impact right now, and as far as a backwards looking view of where the market was... with the result and the price tag now each a known... But, the larger impact, and the one that matters, isn't the immediate market impacts, but the change that will be imposed in PLANNING for how the competition will be evolving, differently, in the future... as a result of the need to avoid surrendering future, similar, billion dollar bites out of investors hides... It is that I was addressing... I don't accept that "nothing else changes" as a result of the event.

Otherwise, that the color overlays on the pie chart have changed, already, from NOK market share in Symbian, to reflect other choices that are being made instead... doesn't alter the underlying texture of the pie plate, or the stuffing below the colored overlays... the things that were and are driving the real choices... which are still there, when you remove the management stupidity as the factor driving the color change on the surface... Don't know how else to address that... Hope that communicates it...
