I do listen to others, but they are the academics and scientists who have studied the subjects. Not people who just say things because they think it makes sense. Yes, lets think about the compostion of the Democratic party 80% of scientists lean democratic and only 6% lean Republican. That one statistic says it all. Why do you think that is? And liberals are mostly quite well off as they are educated, but choose to tax themselves to help those who are not well off. That is the truth! And the Democratic party is the party the most educated and wealthy people in the country as well as the poorest. Belonging to the Democratic party is a matter of philosophy of life. Paul not everyone thinkgs getting rich is the primary objective of life. Most liberals feel the persuit of wisdom is the most import goal in life. E.g. my older daughter went to UC Berkeley and Loyola law school, is a lawyer and her husband is a world famous PHD chemist. Both could make three to five times what they do, he as a professor, by working for a corporation, and she by going to work for a law firm, but they did not choose that path. And my daughter only does a little law as she is a stay at home mom raising their kids. They choose to live modestly. Their car has 200,000 miles on it. Same with my younger daughter. Who is a scientist. My kids never valued getting rich as the goal in life. I taught them differently. They think living a happy and healthy modest life contributing to society is the goal of life. Neither would ever stick money in their mouths and show it off like Romney does in that one picture. Romney seems to worship money. That should scare people, not make them admire him.
