What about having Afghanistan divided into 2 separate nations? One for the people who want to join the modern world, and the other - for compulsive stone agers?

We are no longer accustomed to think this way, but it's not such a big deal - borders are not created by God. The Brits used to do it all the time.

I'll say it for the umpteenth time. Humans are the bloodiest of all animals.

I'm sure our military is befuddled.
The Petraeus counterinsurgency field manual does not offer a solution to that.
