PATRIOT SCIENTIFIC INTRODUCES FIRST DUAL-SPAN, PRI INTERFACE CARD

COMDEX To Spotlight FlagShip/PRI Card
Designed For Remote Access and Video Conferencing

SAN DIEGO - November 17, 1997 - Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTCBB: PTSC) today announced that it will show, for the first time publicly, FlagShipTM/PRI, their new Primary Rate ISDN board at Fall COMDEX in Las Vegas. FlagShip/PRI is a PCI Bus, dual-span, 46-channel interface card and is designed for high-bandwidth, remote access WAN applications.

Also capable of serving as an interface card for T1 and E1 lines, FlagShip/PRI has an onboard microprocessor and BONDING support to aggregate multiple channels for high-bandwidth applications like video conferencing. Additionally, FlagShip/PRI has an MVIP Bus connector that allows easy integration with other computer telephony peripherals.

"FlagShip/PRI has the lowest cost per channel of any PRI board available today, and it is a simpler and more efficient solution than connecting multiple boards," said Phil Morettini, vice president, sales and marketing for Patriot. "The development of FlagShip/PRI complements our CyberSharkTM;product line as well as our commitment to offering low cost, high performance communications products as part of a total network solution."

Patriot Scientific also has a CyberShark product line that includes an ISA bus-based CyberShark/PRI ISDN Interface Card, a CyberShark/BRI ISDN Terminal Adapter for Windows 95 users and a CyberShark ISDN Terminal Adapter for telephony headset applications. Current customers for the company's high-performance digital telecommunications products include major OEM customers such as SAIC, GE-Spacenet, Norand and NEC.

The FlagShip product line, like Patriot's CyberShark products, will be distributed through Colorado-based Alternative Technology as well as sold directly to VARs and OEMs.

Founded in 1987, Patriot Scientific Corporation designs, manufactures and markets: high-performance ISDN Basic Rate and Primary Rate products for digital communications; the PSC1000, based on the patented ShBoomTM technology, a 32-bit microprocessor targeted at the Java and Internet appliances as well as the traditional embedded systems markets; and ground-penetrating radar and ionized gas antenna technologies.
