<<Runyon is very confident in the extraction process and has said so in writing 06/18/97: "confident, beyond any and all doubts".>>

Richard: Runyon made that comment before production was delayed until April and before they hired McGarvey. I would be much more confident if they were actually producing now:-)

Agree with your comments about Struthers, though. I lost whatever respect I had for him when he tried to convince IPM investors that a turd is not a turd on the weekend following Black Friday.

It still seems like "good advice" even in this aftermath. It says ..." Feel Free To Post!" So, I repost:

Int Precious Metals IPMCF on Nasdaq

No doubt, as you can imagine I have been swamped with email and phone
calls. I have stuck my neck out on IPM and have not changed my mind.

THERE IS NO NEED TO PANIC !! Mining exploration stocks are very volatile
with wild swings up and down. We have seen huge profits and losses in
Donner, Western Copper and Bema to name a few, where they have gone way up,
down and back up again. IPM is little different. It may go down on Monday
and up on Thursday or vise versa

I am just going to give you a couple brief comments and will have a full
analysis of the recent announcement before trading on Monday. I will be
spending the weekend digging up all I can behind the scenes

The best way to describe today's announcement is a reality check, both
for the hypsters and the naysayers.

I have visited all the desert properties and checked them out thoroughly
and know of many other individuals who have taken their own samples. The big
disappointment with me today is I expected grades at least twice as high.
But this does not matter, a few samples do not make a mine but only prove
the existence of gold and platinum.

First off, todays confirmation by Bateman that there is gold and platinum
at BRX proves the scam callers are dead wrong. The AZDOM is dead wrong.
Another nail in the AZDOM coffin in the legal dispute. The naysayers and
scam callers in the press, on SI and the internet have been proven WRONG!!.
Because of this it is my opinion that anything they say cannot be trusted.

IPM stock is in play by the shorts and Institutions. You can expect a big
attach by the shorts and a lot B.S on the internet over the weekend. They
will try and shake confidence to drive the stock price down on Monday to
make the recent press release appear as negative.

The Institutions are heavily into the stock. There support will be key
next week....it goes on but with Larry saying what he said...Turd comments...and with him Bragging about ..got out at $3ish and damn lucky I did! I feel that I needed to post this. So, this is the Maxam Gold Thread. So what. Dale is the "father of the desert dirts" so what if R.M and L. B. were hyping it with me. IMHO. I will coin a phrase this time Ricky...Desert Dirty Waters ...those that change colors are not the "tastiest!"
Chucatasteinmymouth...badtastefrommyplace.LongIPM. Long Desert Dirts. ShortonTurncolors. ( Yes, I do welcome oposing opinions but I wonder about methods of opposition- devils' advocate is one thing...degrotatory DANDERRUFF on someones' means of livelihood is another. ) I read Ron Struthers. Did others read in something between the lines??? ?
And now, one week later, we are entering the first full week of trading inwhich the B-D REPORT is issued as it was on the 26th at Market Close; thus, I do have high hopes for some institutional notice! The key is still in the INSTITUTIONS and their delayed reactions is what we all will next witness in my very humble opinion...now!!! !

Richard: When you undertake a geochemical reaction on a small sample and then repeat the same on a large sample, the end products may not appear in identical proportions for various reasons. I'm not a chemist, so feel free to ask one about this.

Ronald Reagan had a saying when he dealt with the Sovs on arms control matters - "Trust but verify." While everything seems good to go vis-a-vis the recovery process, the stock price never lies, and what it's telling us is that the public wants absolute proof of an economic recovery process in the form of production before it is willing to bid up the stock price until it capitalizes the multi-million oz proven and probable gold reserves at closer to industry levels (while COC assays would help, I think that is secondary at this point). At the current stock price and 54 million fully diluted shares , the market cap of $30 million represents the capitalized value of just one million oz (assuming a capitalizaton of 10% of the market price of gold). With some 4 million oz in p and p reserves, the stock price could possibly get to $2 on this basis but hasn't because the public wants proof that the reserves are economically extractable. Put another way, the p and p reserves are capitalized at just $7 million per oz, far below the industry average.

Richard, we're both shareholders...the nature, extent and timing of our skepticisms merely differ, that's all. I recall your posts when the press release announcing McGarvey and Apr98 production was issued. You may believe the company now, but you certainly didn't at that moment.

I agree that Ron erred on Delgratia and IPM. I didn't buy Delgratia because I had read newspaper articles detailing certain members of management and insiders having iffy backgrounds. When asked by the media why the company put Geoff Courtnall (sp?), a hockey player, on the board of directors, the explanation given was that he was a good businessman and being a popular hockey player, would generate interest in the company. Hmm...
