yes, he is sincere about using ng. in fact i have reduced my propane costs this year due to fracking in pa. my prebuy was down $1. gallon vs last years price. the supplier said reduction was the result of an abundance of ng in the area.

perkins as i remember bet big on ng in late 70's. He discovered the product big time. then he went broke as he didn't have a distribution for the product and prices fell out of the market.

that may be the same time ge was manufacturing generators for electric companies to convert to cheap gas vs coal , heavy fuels.. it was around the same time everyone wanted ng in their house vs electric. many home owners converted over to ng some heat pumps and........ ng became in short supply and prices went wild.

boom bust boom bust.

exxon made an announcement a few weeks of major investment in tx to export ng. billions are going into setting up a terminal to handle export shipments. a few more like that and maybe ng prices rise to gasoline levels?
