Scrolled around Bedford homes for sale. That city is a very expensive suburb of Manchester probably commutable to Boston. Seems to be a great school district, large homes on big lots and very high quality of life. Get anywhere outside of it and the values are much lower where the 99% live...

That's right.........but she's not from Bedford....just her firm. She's in a suburb next to it..........Hooksett. Most people know Bedford or Concord or Manchester but not Hooksett.

Your definition of "commutable" is getting really stretched. :)

Talked to my friend who's looking for house. He won't buy Lawrence or Lynn and won't even think about NH. 1 hour commute is a no-no for him.

Yes, there are people who commute 1-2 hours each way. I cannot understand how they manage.

Overall market is interesting. There are houses that sell fast with multiple offers. There are still houses that stay unsold for half-year+. And I can't say I see big distinction in prices or quality between the two. But then I'm not looking very deeply, just hanging out with a friend who's looking. :)
