I think you think the public is more aware than they really are. That's possible, but a more thorough analysis reveals the inability to pass on any opportunity to pour salt on AMD's wounds as retribution for the ceaseless hype spewing from their glib CEO. I have made an appointment with my therapist and hopefully she can exorcise that annoying little affliction given the CEO has turned a new leaf. Sanders has publicly announced that there will be no profits for the forseeable future, or to use his words profits will be elusive. Actually, wide-spread public awareness of servere thermal problems has made the overclocked version of the K6 difficult to unload, hence the price drop.
