"The socialist hordes are at the gate!"

And they're screaming "We want a piece of the action." Actually, I used to belong to the NDP, but became disillusioned with them. It hit home yesterday when a friend was talking about her daughter, who is living in Germany and getting involved. Germans feel like they're heard by their politicians and how most feel like they're connected to power.

Over here, sure, you could call people and distribute literature for the NDP, but they only called you when they wanted something from you. They were never interested in soliciting opinion. They're as elitist as the Monarchy League when it comes to policies and ideas.

Which is why they have none.

Q. - How many canadians does it take to change a light bulb

A. - Canadians don't change light bulbs, we accept them the way they are

Mea culpa for injecting the partisanship there last week, seems to have started this off ... pointless yes, changes no minds, same old crap thrown back and forth ... like many here, i'm not too impressed by any of the organised factions in this province, but a word in defence of politicians - the electorate they have to deal with is pretty far from ideal, so many looking for something for nothing and to hell with principle

In re change - Enbridge says they will move toxic dilbit through this province with less damage than they did all those other times, in all those other places ... should we believe them, and bet the ranch on their word? ... even though they are clearly unaware of the islands, crookedness, and relative width of Douglas Channel, also of a variety of lifeforms all along the route?

Not too difficult to find a parallel to promises of change from political parties in this ... and yes all of them, for sure Smith of Kirkcaldy would be disgusted by some of the actions of those using the honourable title of Liberal

'Only Nixon could go to China' - thought just occurred [didn't start typing with this in mind] ... in re mine permitting, may apply, no strong faction being placed further out on the anti-business side than the dippers, and there is union support to consider ... i'll be thinking long and hard about holding New Gold and anything else in BC through the election though, it's a concept proven by history that it pays to stay awake

edv.wt.a - hah, nother little fill ... what me worry about politics, it's only freakin Africa, lol

tak.v - what, could my contest pick actually get any attention this year

npk.to - two months ago, even one month ago, i would have peeled a few here just under 4.00, bid them back cheaper ... not now, couldn't be confident of getting them back, and it's important to have a few extra to help supply 8.40ish resistance against complete gap-fill
