This is from a Pairgain poster, who as a good understanding of this industry:

...CAP-ADSL is viewed as a stop-gap technology. It is expected to be replaced by DMT-ADSL. (Is anyone here going to ADSL FORUM next week in S.F.?). MOT is rolling out DMT-ADSL chip sets. TI just bought AMTX for its DMT-ADSL knowhow. I heard PAIR's DMT-ADSL chip sets Falcon II(?) is very impressive. Did anybody here know more info about it? BTW, any news on DSLAM? DSLAM is going to decide who wins or loses xDSL markets....

This is the first I've heard that MOT is rolling out their DMT-ADSL solution. I hope this comes true next week... until later.

hal--

again, the JPC contract is not exclusive. it is a statement that the members of the consortium are leaning toward a manufacturer.

good luck to all,
