A person may have other business interests there, want to diversify his cash holdings, perhaps conduct business dealings without his local banks knowing about it, any number of reasons. And there may be tax reasons, which are perfectly legal and appropriate. What can be said to a certainty is that Romney has no such accounts that are used for any illegal purpose. So beyond that WTF business is it of yours?

No numbered accounts in Switzerland, you are listening to too many libs and their lies. Yes, why would one have a (non numbered) account in Switzerland? Because compared to their money Obama's inflated dollar has become as close to true fiat currency one can ever come - before it becomes trash. When the fire men takes over to clean up the US mess years from now, your personal DUSD ( domestic USD) will be paper only, while the real USD will be owned by foreigners only - by law. Or something like that. Those, who like you, bet their future on US T-Bonds will become very sorry and very poor indeed. My US friends right now own gold only, bullion as well as coins.
