hank ..you are right about that.
heck , they have even raved about one article and said the same article was a dofus at the same time...
They beleive in selective reading..accept only what makes their point and reject everything else. Even if it's the same source, same writer, and same article<gg>

Hank,

Its true, Barron's didn't know anything about Dell. If they did, the stock price and Dell's reports would be a lot different today.

When Barron's finally sees the light, and praises an excellent report, its the crown jewel. Barron's is basically a bear rag and I read the columns so I know what I'm up against for the coming week.

Since charts can't read negative or positive news, they are only a tool to use when nothing is being said about the company in the press.

Hank, when SEA dragged the market down, this thread kept saying
that is not a problem to DELL. Later when PC growth in SEA is still
looking good, I believe someone here posted that as GOOD NEWS for
dell.

Dell is a WIN/WIN/WIN company, good news is great news, bad news is
no news. DELL can defy gravity. With ASP declining at least 30-50%,
DELL/CPQ can scoop up all others market share who couldn't take
the price-drop, as TOSHIBA did. The problem I have with this
scenario is that the market share being picked up is not sufficient
to compensate the ASP-drop, unless the unit grouwth can make it up.

Even HWP has a respectable PC "166mz mmx pentium ... WITH MONITOR".
These are very good machines selling 2300+ last year. I have to
sympathize the 'component makers', they must be making zero profit
for DELL/CPQ to be so rich, life isn't fair, is it.
