Hank, let's put thing in perspective, shall we? I agree with you on some points, and disagree with you on others. It is a logical fallacy to claim that I am inconsistent, although it is true that I am selective. I regard analysis and selectivity as a sign of intelligence. In regard to the Barrons piece, the first one predicted doom and gloom (which has not yet materialized!) and was not based on any hard data -- like slowing demand or eroding profit margins, while the second one had some factual basis -- like earnings beating expectations, and the stock being up over $4 for the week.

In regard to Abelson, I've noticed that he seems to be more enamored with negative reportage and opinion rather than fact. There is nothing wrong with presenting a negative (or a positive) perspective on a company if one presents pertinent facts to support the position. Without facts, it is simply a scare story (or one more hype piece).

Regards,

Paul
