I agree that Obama didn't know much either, if you are referring to before 9/15/2008, but he was a Senator and had to hear the fears of Henry Paulson in September 2008. Recall, he went back to Washington to vote, while McCain threw his arms up and halted his campaign, and went back to Washington without knowing what to read, what to do, other than follow the lead of those who said you have to vote for it.

McCain was frozen.

Obama was a quick learner and that came across in the 2008 campaign.

He knows a lot more after the crash course "thrust upon him".
