Re: <Just why you'll need a zip drive when that happens isn't clear.>

Never mind the Zip drive, Iomega is coming out with new prodcuts and branching out as fast as they can not to mention the huge installed base and the revenue from the disks.

The real question should be, with the advent of the internet, why would anyone read a one way forum of communication like Barron's???

Eric talks about being fair regarding IOM's new product, although no manufacturer used it in the (gazillion) digital camera's that were out there. How many computers did Eric see with the new Sony drive??
If this was a fair article, then I'd hate to see an article with an agenda towards IOM.

FWIW, Barron's no longer has the effect it used to have on IOM the stock. Has anyone noticed that as time passes and IOM proves itself, Barron's articles have less and less impact on IOM's stock price? The last time they wrote about Nomai, even though the news was about two weeks old, whatever was lost the following day it was regained the day after.

In my opinion, we shouldn't even e-mail these jerks. The mere fact that we e-mail them it acknowledges that they think they are a good paper. You don't see Kim Edwards making public statements. Kim knows what needs to get done, there will always be trash talkers and only time will prove them wrong. Besides, who says that this is the last time that they trash IOM? Let them bark all they want and don't pay any attention to them. After a while they'll realize that no one is listening and they'll stop on their own.
