Ah, but you see it is a hammer that the DIP uses to keep the lawyers from running through the entire estate like Bleak House. In general, the trustee and the judge keep things under control. I know of no cases personally where the lawyers got zip. But the hammer is there. The major point that was to be made is that the guys with the first lien notes are priming everyone else under the sun. The second is that there is only ~250 MM of the DIP available for operating cash flow needs. The 600 figure is not the real story.
