Inflationsdruck im Euroraum steigt stärker als erwartet
31-Aug-2012

High unemployment and inflation - a clear prescription for unrest. Why the EUR rises v the USD is a prof that free markets (in the hands of thieves and swindlers of the financial institutions) are not beneficial to the economy and those that need to workplace. What EU need is a weaker currency to generate more exports and as a result more workplaces. 2.6% inflation is marginal v full employment, the marginal inflation is a direct result of a lower EUR v USD as commodities are priced in USD

SPAIN: Spain 10-year yield spread is extending move..
31-Aug-2012

SPAIN: Spain 10-year yield spread is extending widening move and now 5bps wider at +530bps. The move comes on back of story in El Mundo saying German Chancellor Angela Merkel has asked Italy PM Mario Monti & will ask Spanish PM Mariano Rajoy to delay any bailout requests in order to calm tensions with Buba's Weidmann. Also noted is story that Spanish region of Andalusia might seek financial assistance from the central government, according to El Mundo.

So far, the regions of Catalonia (E5.0bln), Valencia (E3.5bln) and Murcia (E300mln) have requested state aid and local press reports suggest that Valencia may also need over E3.5bln in aid, which raises speculation that Spain will now need a full-blown sovereign bailout as E18.0bln central government fund may not be enough.
