If/when Romney includes some clunkers like that in his speech tonight, that will make a nice addition to the news cycle tomorrow. I will be mildly surprised if the Reps get more than a minimal convention bounce. This is a show for their base, nothing else.

"whoever cleared off on the Ryan teeing off on Simpson-Bowles after he voted it down was a moron" Yup, stupid even if the reason he didn't vote for Simpson-Bowles was because it didn't address the issue of Medicare cost. So at least he had a reason. So that puts Ryan and Obama in the same box; nothing became of Simpson-Bowles, because Ryans no vote kept it from a vote of the whole congress and Obama's refusal to push it. No points for Ryan - no points for Obama. They both screwed up!
