I don't think that post was that inaccurte except for the notebooks which haven't materialized. Those perceived bombs did hurt Intel's stock price and continue to do so. Intel on the other hand, has withstood them well, all things considered and for several reasons.
1. Plain and simple, Intel has shown they know how to build (yield) chips, AMD hasn't. Neither has Cyrix as long as they are tied to IBM. Things will change at NSM I think.
2. Intel has the Pentium II to take the cream of the top.
3. Intel has a tremendous marketing advantage, a stoke of genius to redesign the Pentium Pro and get it to run at high clockspeeds. The average Joe doen't know much more than clockspeed.

AMD will muddy the water but may never make much money. Cyrix/NSM will explore new territory. I'm very interested in what they come up with.
A PC at Nintendo prices maybe.

As you can see Yousef I'm flexible.
