These geoscience meetings are filled mostly with government people and people in the geology exploration buisness so they are more technical geology oriented and a chance to get caught up on what every one is doing so. So the achedemics go to the achedemic talks those in gold go to the gold talks and the diamond players go to the diamond talks.
Certainly the Wsp Davik talks were very well attended but limited time for questions and they are very technical oriented. After the talk I asked the speaker a couple questions privately. And had a couple talks with Randy Turner and others over the course of the forum.
General opinions are that WSP has come across something rather unigue and regardless of the outcome this is going to be a case study of some sort because it doesnt seem to fit the standard models of pipes etc and because of the exploration needed to track down the source.
Its not the type of meeting or talks people in the general public would get alot out of, some of the talks are so technical you would have to be a phd in that field to really apreciate. Others are more general but because the audience is 99% people in the buisness they are still buisness geology oriented. It would take something pretty good to get the growd really excited. A radical new geological theory or major new discovery etc.
On the Snap Lake map you will see a indicator train that runs NE side of snap. I asked about it, they did try to drill a few targets there but that train has a very low indicator mineral count so is not a priorty.
There main priorities seem to be the new boulder train and to find its source, to find where CL186 vents and to sample the dykes.
