I haven't seen any large packages of homes bought in the public records. I can say the hunt for equity at foreclosure auctions seems much more cut throat now than ever. I am kind of amazed how many short term based flipping outfits are out there fighting over tight margins when the numbers as rentals especially when you put in a modest amount of leverage say 50-60% LTV are so much better not to even mention all the other obvious benefits. What are you seeing up your way?
