:-)
That chair thing was weird. On my Facebook they've got a picture of Clint with his chair-and they ask you to caption it. The replies were very very funny. I liked "An empty suit talking to an empty chair", also good was "And we thought crazy would be limited to Palin and or Bachman"

Aren't you supposed to announce the star's appearance in advance to attract those viewers who wouldn't otherwise tune in?

Romney's media team really is the gang that can't shoot straight. The media cycle spin on Romney's big night varies from chuckles to yawns to groans.

I don't think that was the stated goal going in.

Howard Fineman:

"In the hall, the speech played well, but not as well as Ryan the night before. His strident passages on defense and foreign policy were boffo, but politically beside the point. The best moments and most useful ones politically were the most personal: the daily rose his father gave his mother; the pile of young sons in the parents's bedroom.

But where were the specific reasons for hope if you are an undecided female voter in Ohio? It wasn't specific enough for them.

Okay, so he's human. But what's the real plan?"
