Oh gosh there is NO comparison. People who pooh pooh the dangers of these lurking resistant bugs just aren't understanding the problem. You jumped the tracks, there. I was in no way making some kind of argument about the societal impact of various health threats. Though given the scale of the cancer situation in this country, I... well, I won't go there. It has nothing to do with what I was talking about. I was talking about criticizing a law for not doing something it never purported to do in the first place. You may as well fault Obamacare for not funding bridge repair. I can tell you that as a cancer patient, with as much hospital exposure as I get, I have plenty of respect for evolved bacteriological threats. Remember, cancer itself doesn't kill people as often as complications therefrom do.
