We might as well forget about truth, the folks on the other side don't care a wit. I've tried with some of them. Facts don't count.

I think it will ultimately be about getting out the vote. The R's seem far more (negatively) motivated than the D's, but the D's have the better on the ground organization. The R's have much more money, hopefully that isn't the tie breaker. I've sent as much money as I can.

Unless the debates upend things, this will probably not be about policy or ideology or politics; it'll be about organization. Boots on the ground dragging reluctant people to the polling place. The good news is that's always been what Chicago politics was all about... so Obama and his people should have a leg up.

Apparently Ryan's lying isn't confined to just politics. He isn't honest even when he's talking about his marathon running times. BTW he made that claim........two hour and fifty something.....AFTER he was selected as VP.

Knowing the reality of Ryan's 4:01 time, his exchange with Hugh Hewitt is the more surprising. As mentioned yesterday:
HH: Are you still running?
PR: Yeah, I hurt a disc in my back, so I don't run marathons anymore. I just run ten miles or yes.
HH: But you did run marathons at some point?
PR: Yeah, but I can't do it anymore, because my back is just not that great.
HH: I've just gotta ask, what's your personal best?
PR: Under three, high twos. I had a two hour and fifty-something.
HH: Holy smokes.
