yes, i saw the replay, several times--awesome. He took all that Chipper Jones could deliver as he simultaneously received the ball, and held on. Pls i loved seeing Kimble's recation after seeing his 0-2 99mph fastball get a rocket shot launch--it was only 4th HR Kimble has given up this year. i always listen to Braves announcers as i think they are the best and most balanced i have heard. They said, one should NOT point the finger at Kimble for throwing a strike at 0-2, as it was 99mph--sometimes you have to just give a tip of the hat to the hitter--he guessed fastball correct;y and got his swing timed perfectly---but damned to square up and launch is impressive.
That guy "Babe'' Ruf at Reading has broken the Phils record for HRs in a minor league season(Luzinski's record)--he had 20 hrs in August.(and to think he had been just a pitcher until recently--i think he will be a spring trainig getting a look at LF-at 25, he may need to be fast tracked, to find out fast whether he can do it in Majors--we will see)
My major desire for offseason is for Phils to sign Bourne, but it won't be easy, you know Braves will do all they can to sign him.
Phils will have to keep Mayberry, and have listed to play LF/RF/CF and First base-- Max

If Kendrick can just keep his mechanics right he could have made the shift to a solid major league pitcher--he has never had arm injury problem, he could pitch for many years if he got his act embedded:) Kendrick is 51-39 and only 28. Moyer did not win his FIRST game as a starter until age 29!--both do NOT depend on speed.Max
BTW, i like Halladay and Lee because BOTH can adjust to losing speed, just like Greg Maddox/Tim Hudson and Glavine---they all had SAVVY and CONTROL.
Clemens wants to comeback at age 50 and break Moyers record--damned i hate the guy, i hope he can't do it.(By the way, i would say Clemens is the most hated Red Sox player in history, and by that i mean, by Red Sox fans---)

Wow i am rooting for R.A. Dickey(He will be 38 in October) to win the Cy Young Award(he is now 17-4)he is a STORY. Lifetime record going into this year was 41-50. So what happened, at about age 34 he taught himself to be a knuckle ball pitcher. If he wins Cy Young Award at age 38 having only won 41 games before this year--Incredible.
Bastardo showed again, when he has his control he is awesome. Got last 5 outs today, 4 were Ks.
Phils have given B.J.Rosenberg every chance to be a big league pitcher--- he can't handle it--Manuel best NOT give him the ball again! His ERA now over 13 runs. Don't know why Manuel didn't let finish the game--why take him out after 7, and pitching a shutout and up 5-0! Brings in B.J. he gets one out and then gives up HR, and Manuel has to rush in Bastardo--luckily Bastardo is in his groove.Max We are now played 11 games above .500 since our Nadir of 16 below .500. i hope Bourn is thinking about us:) Max

(Looked up and see Bourn was our 4th round pick in 2003.But it can be argued are trade of him won us a world series, given Lidge had one of the great years in the history of relief pitching--he is now shot--he may be pitching in minors, don't know)

Not walking Chipper Jones, one of greatest clutch hitters in history, who is MURDER batting left against a righty, and has a history of walk off HRS and is BigTime Hall of Fame was one the dumbest non-calls in Manuel's history.
If it was Howard left against right, same situation, Braves WALK-HIM.
Far better to load the bases.
Also Franksen made a HIDEOUS PLAY! that was called a 2-run double---it was an error all the way.
If you see replay you will see a perfect example of how NOT to play 3rd base--it was a play you expect in the little league and Not in majors,
Jones does what in does best, in the clutch crushes a low fast ball from Pabelbon-- so what if you load the bases!!! A HR already would beat you.
Manuel blew it. Max
