Sad really, I respected the guy. I think he got caught up in the entirely negative conspiracy echo chamber, and it stuck. It's happening to so many formerly rational people. I don't know, RW, I had my doubts about MM. He comes from a strong R family.........family indoctrination can be some of the hardest to overcome. I grew up in a country where people didn't buy into the crazies. They laughed at that crap, and totally respected our American institutions. Now, people like MM think the institutions are out to get them, an evil force. It's a big part of the reason the Great Recession continues. If the majority loses faith in the institutions, the country is done. Our institutions are the roots of our civilization. In the "old days" those people would have been considered anti-American and treated like shit. I'm afraid Reagan took the lid off the crazies when he unleashed the silent 'majority' on us. Things have never been the same. I wonder if these guys realize they're trying to destroy the country. Its going to be hard to keep this country from breaking up at the rate its going.
