Conservative,

I’m not political… I’m a firefighter, working and raising a family in Northeast Ohio.

But when I saw that the campaign of Sherrod Brown stooped so low as to attack Josh Mandel’s military service, I took it personally.

You see, I had the honor of serving with Josh Mandel in the Marine Corps. Like Josh, I also served as an enlisted Marine in an infantry battalion in the sands of Iraq.

The work was tough… the mission often dangerous... and we Marines did our duty, served honorably and never claimed to be heroes.

But apparently that doesn't matter to Sherrod Brown.

Now that Josh is on the verge of winning, Sherrod Brown decided to bring out one of the scummy smear tactics he has learned over his past 38 years as a career politician.

Politicians like Sherrod Brown often lose touch with reality after spending decades in Washington, but for Brown’s campaign to say yesterday that enlisted Marines like Josh and me don’t have the right kind of service… that our "tactical level" experience in Iraq – actually carrying a weapon patrolling the streets – is somehow not good enough... that is downright insulting.

I am sick and tired of politicians who never wore the uniform… who never stood in harm’s way… trying to tell people like me the meaning of the word “service”.

We’re all used to mudslinging in campaigns, but to me, attacking a man’s honorable military service – trying to say that being a politician is more honorable than a Marine – reaches an all-time low.

So I decided to help Josh fight back. Will you join me?

Stand with Josh today by clicking here to make an investment in Josh's campaign of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500 or more.

Below is an ad that, with your support, Josh can begin running on the airwaves next week.

The eyes of the world are watching what will happen in Ohio this November. Join me in supporting Josh and let’s show the world that, unlike Sherrod Brown, we know the real meaning of the word "service".
