Amazing to think that life has somehow survived inside a little narrow weather/climate window for 3 billion years.

Illinois Avenue. I recall I saw Blazing Saddles there when it came out. Yes, hurricanes bring big rainstorms that often cause flash flooding. Like Hurricane Agnes in 1972 and Hurricane Diane in 1955, both in the east.
