My viewpoint on the Israel situation: If Romney wants to serve two terms, he must put a decisive decision maker in State. If he allows Iran to have the nuke, it will be hung around his neck in 2016. He has to go with a Bolton type.

wouldn't be too surprised if, confronted with someone who has, excuse me, balls - Iran would suspend the program. Just like they released the hostages as soon as Reagan became President.

About Israel... Iranian nukes are a double danger, and both are of an existential nature. Besides the possibility of a blowout, they would discourage immigration - AND, over time, stimulate emigration out of that country. Who wants to live in a nation the size of New Jersey under a constant - and very real - nuclear threat?

I thought about this a while back, and I think posted it here. Recently, I read the same thing in the last novel by Daniel Silva. People do not talk about it, but it seems this understanding is quite real.
