Ed: Count me in "for more at $24". The feedback I'm getting from the sales frontlines here in Chicago and now in SF - where I'm also working on this Direct Connect Trading network stuff - is really exciting. When everyone I talk to and work with inside Nextel can't go home until 9:30 pm each night - and there is still more to do, book, etc. - this tells me more upside will be the expected pattern from here on out. As for the NY feedback - I have clients who used the service all over the NY area and they report no such problems. They love the service, are finding more uses for it in their businesses and are telling more people about it. The new 6 oz. phone will truly be a blockbuster for Nextel. There is such a pent up demand for the units already with the targets focused square on new and emerging markets - such as white collar types, etc - that I can only see more follow-through sales that will surprise people. The other big news for '98 will be the data-connect services Nextel will be offering. I'm hearing this will be the "fastest, most secure transactional based data-connection service among digital wireless carriers. Going out 2 years, ever wonder why McCaw named his new company NextLink?? Already I'm hearing talk of potential joint business combinations. Nextel is fast becoming a value-added service resource for data-feed and transfer application interfaces to existing legacy systems: voice, fax, data, etc. The potential sell-through to NextLink's high capacity digital data networks should be huge. Ed: You better change your order at $ 24. Based upon what I have read about the analysis, that you and Ken are making, indicates that the method is great useing hindsight. It seems that when the initial predictions don't work out, you guys merely adjust the analyzer to compenstate, after the fact. Perhaps there is another method of analysis just as valid. For instance.... If the farmers stop burning forests in Indonesia, if the Hong Kong market stabilized, If the Japanese bail out the banks and brokerage firms, If Korea's economy is proven to support it's inflated stock market, If investors get tired of Microsoft and Dell, and if Nextel's PR department makes a spectacular announcement of positive cash flow in December, then, NXTL will blossom again and there will be no chance of buying in at $ 24.
