"Have you noticed that while the scans are faster with the 32-bit program, MS output isn't? No big deal, though."

This is because Gary has totally rewritten the code on MS directory output to eliminate Equis coding. The coding is 32 bit- Initial setup is slower IMO but updating seems faster.

OK- So we have the following: ( Brotnov scan on entire DB)
120 MHZ Pentium - all data on one drive 10 min 45 sec (ANDY)
133 MHZ Pentium - all data on one drive 7minutes + ( Brooke)
120 MHZ Pentium - diskbuff on second hard drive - 5 min 20 sec ( Andy)
133 MHZ Pentium - data on two drives 4 min 20 sec ( Sean)
233 Mhz Pentium - data on one drive 3 min 30 seconds( Brooke)
233 MHZ Pentium - data on two drives - WARP SPEED (Starship Enterprise)

sounds good to me.

Anyone,
Q+ Rel 1 doesn't always seem to pick up MS directories for update. All sub dirs are under equis/data/. Sometimes when I create a new one it isn't updated and I must explicitly define the directory to Q+ for updating... Anyone see this??
Dick.
