Well in your upper middle class overpriced corporate world up north the collapse wasn't anywhere near what it was in ground zero housing centric markets in the sunbelt. I'd be broke right now if I was running around doing business deals in 2006-07 as if that party would last forever. Now I see many winners down on the ground taking advantage of the rubble and the literally free access to capital. A huge transfer of wealth across the board in my world..
