As far as marketing help, it just strikes me as funny that they claim to have this shipping Java office suite but they don't post the prices or let you order it over the Net and I have to agree with the view that expressed earlier that it's simply sweetener. I have no idea why they would want to position it that way but that's their prerogative; but that's also why I think they need a more deliberate and focused plan of action. So eSuite will be dumped on the market for $49 bucks to achieve ubiquity, an excellent plan and one which I alluded to previously for Applix. Now, they aren't going to be able to compete with that so how about a set of Applix Java Beans that integrate with Lotus eSuite? That is, punt on the office suite and save those resources for the core products. The same with the ELF development language, I am quite serious about that being a HUGE red flag. I would like to see a roadmap before making an investment and a roadmap that eliminated ELF and illuminated the future of the office suite before making a serious investment.
