Let's see, if everyone is required to purchase insurance which would include the 30-40 million who have none now, how many do you guess would refuse to buy the insurance? All 30 million? Of course not, so even if 10 million refuse there would still be 20 million more who get and pay for insurance. And if you decide to gamble and not get the insurance and the doc says "you have cancer", where do you go for treatment? The ER?

What happens if you refuse to pay SS?
