I am skeptical of a takeover, as I detailed earlier.

But I agree, "even if they're not taken over, they
should do well over the long-term." As more and more
people come to this view, the shares will respond.
Now the shares are a good bargain, and I'd buy more
if they weren't already 15% of my portfolio.

Good Investing,
Mike

Dear David

The fund I run owns OXHP, most of which was bought after the 63% drop. I do not know about any takeover story (although this is always a possibility!) but I believe that Stephen Wiggins and his crew will figure out a way out of this morass. The real reason why I bought the stock is that the underlying growth characteristics of the New York market are such that OXHP is hard to get around. The franchise is there but I doubt that anyone will step up to the plate until the dust has settled and the liabilities (lawsuits and investigations) attain a greater degree of visibility. In the meantime, the stock is likely to languish unless it regains new speculative strength post tax selling perios

Greetings

Steven
