Lwolf, Here is why I chose Metastock.
Metastock is a state of the art software. It is exactly like Windows
when you use it. Their manuals are very well written and their technical support is excellent(they answer their phones right away
and are very helpfull). Metastock is very easy to use and you can
download all of your data over your internet connection. Metastock
has over 100 indicators that are widely used by traders. It has excellent graphics. Everything about Metastock is good and nothing
is bad. There is also Window On Wall Street (WOW) software that could
be even better then Metastock. Metastock cost $349 and WOW about $300.I might get WOW for testing. with Metastock, you have two months
to test the product and with WOW you have one month. WOW has over
175 indicators. However, in both software you can create your own
indicators and I have already done that with Metastock.

I hope this helps and if you have any more questions please let me
know.

Chris

LWolf, One more thing about the scans.
I am not sure what you refer to here with scans. Metastock has what
you call Explorer that allows you to rearch stocks for specific
criteria. I am not sure if this is what you are looking for. You
can write your own search if you want(You have to be a programmer.
I am a System Progammer and will be able to do so myself). I think
WOW has more built in stuff you may be looking for then Metastock.
Do search on "Window On Wallstreet" on the WEB and you will find
info on WOW.
