Liberals have always stood for racial justice, economic fairness, a level playing field,
and opportunity for the many, and not just the privileged and the already advantaged.
I shudder to think what America would have looked like if they had not been such a
force in US history.

(maybe it would look a bit like how things are so screwy right now?)
