I agree with you, but the studies didn't study THAT aspect. It's well known now that animal bugs jump the species barrier, such as yearly in Asian swine and bird flus. Now, we'll have antibiotic resistant bugs doing the same, having evolved that ability in their original host animals.

Got to be a book there - antibiotic-proof bug jumps from some animal to humans, wipes out a few billion before we get a handle on it..
