I just checked, the SPY September 22nd 137 puts yesterday closed at .81 bid and .83 offered, kind of cheap if one thinks the market is going to tank hard and fast... I definitely wouldn't buy them... I think buying any options is a dangerous game, I always prefer writing them and let the other guy hope... but, if I had to buy an option, I think it would have to be very deep in the money already... but then, why not just take the stock itself...

By the way, thanks again for that great option link, a very nice way to check specific options out before doing anything with them...

Remember the "Thriller in Manila?" Well, this could be the "September to Remember"...

Wall Street insiders are extremely bearish... according to Barron's, their bearishness is at a 27 year low, and given the impressive historic validity of this particular contrary indicator, stocks may well be poised right now for a mammoth surprise launch...right or wrong, it's definitely a persuasive article for the bull camp...
