While it certainly is true beyond any doubt that Obama has lied about his place of birth. (With two differing claims, one of them is a lie.) I am not as certain as you that Obama was lying when he was trying to advertise for speaking engagements. Kenya is not a place that makes people want to attend you speech. Many people would have avoided him rather than have to spend an hour trying to decipher what a foreigner was trying to say. OTOH the reward for being Native Born was much greater.
