[ QUST Arbitrage ] Hi Sam, I haven't checked to see if there were any problems with selling the preferreds short. Here's a listing of the current short interest on the stock: QUSTP ÿ QUESTRON TECH PFD 10/97 38,360 09/97 7,400 08/97 17,229ÿ 07/97 1,300 It looks like the convergence of the two prices has attracted some interest, as shown by the higher short interest. Also, I haven't heard of any problems with shorting them--I don't ask brokers because I don't use them--I currently don't have an arbitrage position open for this either; I just noticed this after Ray kindly brought it back to my attention. This weekend has given me a lot of time to make another approach to this issue. Good luck, Rainier

I was supposed to give you the short interest for the common issues--those are the shares that are sold short.
