SCBA, Ed - I think the split can only help the stock, as to the price predictions, who knows? My guess is that CPQ went down because of fund selling for the most part, and maybe the usual concerns about sub 1k PC sales causing margins to go down in the future. My guess is also this - if CPQ keeps selling the low ball machines like hotcakes and margins don't go down, the stock should be able to move up smartly soon. I don't think a target of 75 means much as long as the market does not tank, like I said, that's still below where CPQ was in September.

By the way, Dell seems to be going the way of CPQ - every once in awhile the Sunday N.Y. Times has a color flyer in it advertising the CPQ line of computers, for the first time I can recall, in today's N.Y. Times Dell had a flyer advertising it's systems...
