Somebody this morning said he was jamming for 40% of the speech. A few days ago, somebody said they had watched him go for 45 minutes to a roomful of lawyers, entirely off the top of his head. The guy is fucking amazing.
Completely agree. The story goes that in 1972, Bill was managing McGovern's Texas campaign while he was a full time student at Yale Law School. He would show up in New Haven in time for exams, read Hillary's notes the night before, and ace the exam (most likely this grade score is fairly apocryphal, but it fits the story nicely). And head back to Texas.
