meathead, know the market, the 1 k pc will run all those apps. it's the sub 800 pc that is seal box. the 1kc pc is selling like hot on the world wide front..and in a few yrs they will buy a 1k p300... besides int;s the video card and vram that makes many of the apps you talked about run better...whcih can be added to any of the 1k boxes. I had the diamond stealth viper added to this box and it could be added to cpq's 1k box too. You're an engr...not misleading the sheep... video cards , vram, mem speed have more to do with the apps you described after you have a p200mmx. You are right about the networking..you don't network those presarios. But, it will not be long that the p233mmx will be sub 1000.
