Democracy was once owned by producers [land owners back in the day, which was more or less the same thing]. But then women and anyone got the vote and they soon figured out that they could vote to take opm and spend it on booze. Free booze is tempting to a lot of people who are not familiar with the Seven Cardinal Sins and Virtuous Victorian Values.

Drug users are notorious for spiraling all the way down to their hedonistic deaths. Democracy works along similar lines now that greedy self-centred hedonism is the defining trait of democracy. Free opm is a temptation too much for too many people.

The answer is of course Tradable Citizenship and votes for people according to how much tax they pay. No pay, no vote other than the basic Citizenship vote. Details to be advised.

There is much more pain on the way. It'll be better to be where the grow will be happening rather than in the stagnation part.

And you cannot eat democracy.

Couple huge territory. Huge populations. Lots of resources underneath.

Only to guide the negro to fill his tummy. And he will be consuming for the next 50 years.

Africa demographic window will happen 2085. Then they will be young and aplenty and my and your descendants will leave in a old people's world.
