Most people do not use computer or have a computer at home, the reason? Because most people are not programmers or need excel or words to do word processing at home. As more applications come to play and the linkage between PCs and consumer electronics which will have a big impact on people's daily life, together with the price drop of PCs,we see the trends that all family in the world will buy pcs in the next couple years,and it is a revolutionary change. Unfortunately some people on this thread still did not see this . In the past one month, we already seen the Toshiba's sink, the next will be Sony, Sharp ...etc. Previously, the Japanese companies controlled the consumer electronic market, with the linkage between PC and consumer electronics, while the Japanese companies did not control the PC technology, i.e CPU, Softwares, they are really in big trouble. Will you buy a DVD or HDTV if all those can be implemented with a PC? I will not. Will you buy a fax machine if this functionality can be implemented into your PCs? I will not. Will you buy a Karooki machine if it can be implemented into your pcs? I will not. So, in the future who have the lead in the PC market will lead everything. That where the opportunity and revenue will come from for CPQ. The family entertainment ctr is just the first step.
